Premier League Club Launches Fresh Assault on Barcelona's Rising Star Marc Casado

West Ham United have made an official offer for Barcelona's young midfielder Marc Casadó, according to recent reports.
The 21-year-old Casadó is reportedly on the market this summer as Barcelona look to resolve their ongoing financial difficulties, though the homegrown talent has shown no indication of considering a departure from the club.
While Tottenham Hotspur were previously connected with Casadó during the summer transfer window, The Guardian now reports that West Ham are actively pursuing the midfielder.
An offer has been submitted to Barcelona, but the outcome may largely depend on Casadó's personal preferences. According to MARCA, he continues to insist on remaining at the club to compete for playing time under head coach Hansi Flick this season.

Casadó was a regular starter in Flick's lineup last season until suffering an injury in March, which allowed Frenkie de Jong to reclaim his spot in the team. De Jong began the current season in Casadó's position.
However, the young midfielder seems determined to stay at Barcelona, and West Ham are unlikely to succeed in persuading Casadó to make the move.
Wolverhampton Wanderers are also pursuing Casadó's services but encounter the same difficult challenge of reaching an agreement with the midfielder.
While Casadó's position appears firm this summer, interested clubs—including Chelsea who have been frequently mentioned—may keep tabs on his situation throughout the upcoming season. The return to form of De Jong and the anticipated comeback of 18-year-old Marc Bernal could reduce Casadó's playing opportunities and potentially lead him to reconsider his options later on.
