Premier League Club Makes Official Move to Snatch Chelsea's Overlooked Midfielder

Everton have allegedly made an official offer for Chelsea's midfield player Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall as the London club starts reducing their roster size.
Dewsbury-Hall moved to Chelsea during the previous summer transfer window for £30 million ($39.8 million), reuniting with head coach Enzo Maresca from Leicester City, though he struggled to secure consistent starting positions at Stamford Bridge throughout the campaign. Despite featuring in 36 matches across various tournaments, his Premier League playing time was limited to merely 258 minutes, with most of his action coming in the Conference League instead.
Although Chelsea aren't considered eager to offload Dewsbury-Hall, they might permit his departure for an appropriate fee, and Fabrizio Romano has confirmed ongoing discussions with Everton regarding a permanent move.
The Merseyside club is understood to have made an offer and are currently engaged in talks with Chelsea while attempting to ward off interest from other English top-flight clubs.

Fulham have recently emerged as potential buyers for Dewsbury-Hall according to BBC Sport, with Raheem Sterling being another Chelsea fringe player on the Cottagers' wishlist, while West Ham United have similarly shown interest.
Chelsea regard Dewsbury-Hall as a valuable squad member and appreciate his acceptance of a limited role, though bids will be considered if the ex-Leicester player seeks expanded opportunities at another club.
Based on reports from The Athletic, Chelsea aim to recoup the £30 million they invested in Dewsbury-Hall's signing a year ago.
Lesley Ugochukwu appears destined to leave Stamford Bridge before Dewsbury-Hall does. The tall French midfielder was loaned to relegated Southampton last season but performed well enough to attract interest from Burnley. The Athletic initially reported that Scott Parker's recently promoted team have reached terms to acquire Ugochukwu on a four-year deal for an undisclosed amount.
Even excluding Ugochukwu, Dewsbury-Hall confronts significant competition for playing time at Chelsea. The comeback of Andrey Santos following an impressive loan period with Strasbourg has intensified the battle for midfield minutes, where Moisés Caicedo, Enzo Fernández and Roméo Lavia remain Maresca's preferred trio. 20-year-old Dário Essugo has also arrived after his transfer from Sporting CP earlier this year.
