Liverpool top the spending rankings this window with £252.2 million ($335.4 million) invested following major signings including Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong and Hugo Ekitiké. The Reds aren't finished yet and may pursue another approach for Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak. Chelsea, who have been prolific spenders under Todd Boehly's ownership, sit second and could see their transfer expenditure increase further given their pursuit of Alejandro Garnacho and Xavi Simons.
Manchester United brought in both Mbeumo and Cunha to strengthen Ruben Amorim's attacking options, but they remain keen on RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Šeško. The Red Devils face rivalry from Newcastle for his signature.
Liverpool and Chelsea are the sole clubs to exceed the £200 million ($265.9 million) threshold. At the other extreme, three teams have invested £6 million ($7.9 million) or less: Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Fulham. This statistic may surprise some considering both clubs are scheduled to participate in UEFA competitions next season.
Among the promoted teams, Sunderland have outspent both Burnley and Leeds United as all three clubs aim to make their mark upon returning to the top division.
