Premier League Fans Left in the Dark as Fubo Goes Black This Weekend

Fans expecting to catch Premier League matches on fuboTV this weekend will face disappointment.

The streaming service typically broadcasts Premier League games for U.S. audiences, but a contract dispute between Fubo and NBCUniversal has led to a complete blackout of NBCUniversal-owned channels.

This situation leaves American soccer fans potentially unable to access up to five Premier League games during what should be an exciting weekend of football.

Here's what you need to know about the current Fubo blackout situation.

What's Behind the Premier League Match Unavailability on Fubo?

On Friday, November 21st, Fubo declared that all NBCUniversal programming would become inaccessible to users until both companies reach a new agreement. The streaming service claimed NBCUniversal engaged in "discriminatory practices" during their contract renewal discussions.

Fubo issued an official statement explaining: "Fubo has participated in constructive negotiations with NBCUniversal (NBCU) to extend our established content partnership for distributing their programming to viewers.

"Fubo maintains that consumers deserve options when selecting distributors for their preferred content. Regrettably, NBCU has proposed pricing and bundling terms that are unreasonably higher than what they offer other distributors. This discrimination lacks justification, and consequently, Fubo customers would either lose access to valuable programming or face what we consider excessive charges.

"Therefore, all NBCU programming became unavailable on Fubo starting at 5 p.m. ET on November 21, 2025."

Multiple channels have been impacted by this blackout, encompassing numerous regional NBC Sports networks, USA Network, Golf Channel, NBC Universo, and additional programming.

Five Premier League fixtures were originally set to stream through Fubo during the weekend, creating a difficult situation for paying customers. These games are now inaccessible:

Fubo has directed users toward Peacock, noting: "Subscribers with Peacock access can continue viewing NBCU programming on that platform."

Unfortunately, only the Newcastle versus Manchester City match remains available through Peacock, leaving four additional Premier League games completely unavailable to Fubo users.
