Premier League Star Makes Blockbuster €67 Million Move to 'World's Best Club' PSG

Paris Saint-Germain have finalized the acquisition of central defender Illia Zabarnyi from Bournemouth.
The Cherries have now seen three key players from their previous campaign's defensive lineup depart. Dean Huijsen transferred to Real Madrid for €58 million ($67.4 million) while left-back Milos Kerkez secured his switch to Liverpool for €46 million.
Zabarnyi has now joined his former colleagues in leaving the club, confirming his transfer to European titleholders PSG in a transaction valued at €67 million.
The Ukrainian defender has signed a five-year deal with PSG, marking the club's second major acquisition of the transfer window.
"I am thrilled to become part of Paris Saint-Germain, the finest club globally, with an outstanding vision," Zabarnyi stated. "I am committed to giving my all on the field and eagerly anticipate my first appearance while meeting the fans."
Club chairman Nasser Al-Khelaïfi commented: "We are pleased to further enhance our squad with Illia Zabarnyi's arrival. Illia is a skilled international talent and consummate professional—he will provide significant value to our long-term ambitions at Paris Saint-Germain."
Luis Enrique has addressed PSG's frustrating loss to Chelsea in the Club World Cup final by reinforcing his backline. Between the posts, Lucas Chevalier has joined from Lille and is anticipated to replace Gianluigi Donnarumma, who has been sidelined due to stalled negotiations regarding his expiring deal.
Zabarnyi enters a deep center-back roster that already features the stellar partnership of Marquinhos and Willian Pacho. 21-year-old Lucas Beraldo and veteran Presnel Kimpembe complete the defensive options at Enrique's disposal.
