Premier League Summer Series Kicks Off: Complete Guide to Teams, Schedule, and Viewing Options

The Premier League Summer Series makes its comeback to the United States in 2025 after last year's tournament was called off.

This preseason tournament showcases four Premier League clubs battling it out during a week-long competition held across the pond at three separate locations. Chelsea claimed victory in the inaugural edition two years back, demonstrating their prowess on American soil, alongside fellow participants Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion.

The summer tournament generated significant excitement in 2023, and it remains to be seen how much attention the forthcoming edition will garner following the restructured Club World Cup.

Here's your complete guide to the 2025 Premier League Summer Series.

Which Clubs Will Participate in the 2025 Premier League Summer Series?

Manchester United stands as the marquee club in the 2025 Summer Series, accompanied by West Ham United, Bournemouth and Everton—all three teams that ranked higher than the Red Devils in the 2024–25 Premier League standings.

The quartet will face each other once throughout the three locations, with two venues (MetLife Stadium in New Jersey and Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta) having previously hosted Club World Cup encounters.

The scoring system remains unchanged, with victories worth three points and ties earning one. The club accumulating the highest points total will claim the title as the second Premier League Summer Series champion.

Should clubs be level on points at the top, goal difference will determine the winner. Goals scored followed by head-to-head records serve as the subsequent tiebreaking criteria.

The clubs then travel to Chicago's legendary Soldier Field for the second matchday, featuring West Ham against Everton and United confronting troublesome opponents Bournemouth. The Cherries remain undefeated in their last four meetings.

The Summer Series concludes in Atlanta, with Bournemouth vs. West Ham opening the final matchday before Man Utd meets Everton to close out the competition.
