English top-tier teams have invested more than £2.6 billion ($3.51 billion), establishing a new benchmark for expenditure during a single transfer period. There has been significant player movement between Premier League clubs, alongside an arrival of promising talent from around the globe.
The activity isn't finished yet, however. Additional substantial spending is expected before this summer's cutoff, with numerous major transactions still pending, which will further expand an already remarkable record.
But when exactly does the Premier League transfer window conclude?
What Time Does 2025 Premier League Summer Transfer Window Close?
Although many deals remain to be completed this summer, clubs have limited time remaining to finalize their outstanding business. The Premier League window concludes on Monday, September 1 at 7 p.m. BST (2 p.m. ET), leaving English teams with diminishing time to bolster their rosters.
Teams may file a transfer deal sheet after 5 p.m. on Monday, granting them until 9 p.m. to complete transfers and finish all required paperwork. Nevertheless, the deal sheet must be filed before the 7 p.m. cutoff for the two-hour extension to be valid.
Even with a deal sheet submission, any transfers not officially recorded after 9 p.m. will not be processed.
When Does 2025 Summer Transfer Window Close Across Europe?
The English Football League will follow the same 7 p.m. BST deadline on Monday, along with Germany's Bundesliga, Italy's Serie A and France's Ligue 1—their windows will end at 8 p.m. CEST.
Nevertheless, Spain's La Liga has chosen not to close their window simultaneously with Europe's other major five leagues, setting their deadline at 10.59 p.m. BST.
Regrettably for European clubs concerned about losing players after the deadline, the Saudi Pro League window ends on Wednesday, September 10.
The Major League Soccer and National Women's Soccer League transfer windows concluded on August 21 and August 25 respectively, while the Women's Super League deadline falls on Thursday, September 4.
