PSG Slaps Price Tag on Donnarumma as Premier League Giants Circle

Everything indicates that Gianluigi Donnarumma is heading away from Paris to join Manchester's blue team, though time is running short as the transfer deadline rapidly approaches.
Donnarumma has lost favor with Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique. The acquisition of Lucas Chevalier during the summer transfer period essentially sealed the Italian goalkeeper's departure from the French capital.
Donnarumma appears destined to exit PSG before the transfer window closes, with Manchester City emerging as the clear frontrunners to secure his services. The Athletic indicates that PSG's valuation stands at approximately €40 million ($46.5 million, £34.5), though Man City remain reluctant to match this price given that Donnarumma has just 12 months remaining on his current deal.
Fabrizio Romano suggests that a compromise between the clubs might be reached at €30–€35 million, with negotiations continuing.
Nevertheless, Donnarumma's move to Pep Guardiola's squad hinges on veteran City goalkeeper Ederson departing the club. Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray reportedly have strong interest in the Brazilian shot-stopper, though no formal offer has been submitted to date.
During the earlier part of the summer window, Galatasaray were mentioned as a potential landing spot for Donnarumma, alongside Manchester United. Nevertheless, both clubs have stepped back from pursuing the goalkeeper, creating a clear path for Man City to secure the Italian's signature.
Donnarumma arrived at PSG without a transfer fee in 2021. He subsequently made 161 appearances for the Parisian club, recording 56 clean sheets and serving as a key figure in PSG's maiden Champions League triumph this past season.
Man City have already brought in James Trafford from Burnley during this transfer period, with the City youth product starting both opening fixtures of the campaign. Still, the opportunity to sign the highly-rated Donnarumma at a reduced price appears too attractive for City to ignore.
Regardless, this transfer story seems certain to continue until the closing moments of the transfer window.
