Raphinha pushed back hard against recent reports suggesting he could be heading out of Barcelona this summer, firing sharp criticism at the media and one specific, unnamed journalist who he claims "just lies" about him.
In recent weeks, stories have emerged linking the 29-year-old Brazilian winger to a departure from Barcelona, with the Saudi Pro League touted as the most probable destination. Al Hilal have already denied the rumors, and now, ahead of El Clásico, Raphinha made his feelings crystal clear when finally addressing the speculation.
"Ever since I arrived in Barcelona, from day one there's always been talk about me leaving the club," Raphinha told ESPN. "I think some people don't want to see me here, especially in the press ... they have one [person] in particular that just lies."
The identity of the journalist Raphinha is referring to remains unclear, but he went on to launch a pointed attack against that specific individual.
"The journalist behind this report has written other false things about me before," Raphinha added. "Claiming that I met with the club, that I had internal conversations about feeling uncertain, that I didn't know whether I would stay or go [at Barcelona].
"That guy only lies, and every time he publishes something it should be ignored, because almost everything that comes out of his mouth is irrelevant nonsense."
Raphinha Not Included In Barça's Fund Gathering Plan

The rumors surrounding Raphinha's potential exit from Barcelona follow reports that the club may be open to selling some of their key players in order to raise funds during the summer transfer window.
The Catalan club are looking to strengthen Hansi Flick's squad with elite talent this summer, but given their fragile financial situation, every euro raised through player sales could bring their transfer ambitions closer to reality.
According to ESPN, Barcelona are aiming to raise $117.2 million (€100 million) in transfer revenue by offloading certain players. However, the same report notes that Raphinha is regarded as "untouchable."
Raphinha has dealt with injury setbacks this season but remains an exceptional talent when fit, capable of contributing goals and assists with ease. He has also established himself as one of Barcelona's undisputed dressing room leaders, one of the most respected voices in a squad brimming with young talent.
With no desire to leave Catalonia, Raphinha's attention is firmly fixed on making his comeback from injury this weekend against his favorite opponents.
Raphinha Eager to Win La Liga vs. Real Madrid

Raphinha is pushing to feature after more than a month out injured in El Clásico at Camp Nou, a match in which Barcelona could secure back-to-back La Liga titles against Real Madrid. The Brazilian is recovering from a hamstring problem and was an unused substitute in Barça's victory over Osasuna in their last outing.
Having Raphinha available for El Clásico would be a significant boost for Flick's squad given how dominant he has been against their rivals. Throughout his career, Raphinha has scored seven goals against Real Madrid, his highest tally against any single opponent. He has also been part of eight victories over Los Blancos, more than against any other club in his career.
Speaking ahead of the first El Clásico at Camp Nou in more than three years, Raphinha outlined his mindset going into the potentially title-sealing fixture.
"To be honest, what matters most to me is winning La Liga, regardless of who we're playing against," Raphinha revealed. "For the fans and those who have been at the club for a long time, beating our biggest rival makes it extra special.
"But for me, the most important thing is winning La Liga. If it has to come against them, then all the better."
