Rasmus Hojlund Opens Up About Napoli's Stunning Revival Following Manchester United Struggles
Rasmus Højlund maintains he hasn't altered his approach this season following an impressive beginning to his Napoli loan spell from Manchester United.
Following a two-year stint at United that produced only 26 goals in all competitions, Højlund became available for transfer during the summer and joined Napoli through a loan arrangement featuring a conditional obligation for a permanent transfer.
Having netted four times in his opening six appearances under Antonio Conte, Højlund has quickly won over supporters with performances that were seldom witnessed at Old Trafford.
Following Sunday's 2–1 victory against Genoa, when it was proposed to Højlund that he must be approaching things differently this season compared to his United period, the Danish striker maintained: "I don't believe I've altered anything.
"I'm simply fulfilling my role and working daily to deliver my maximum effort and contribute value to the squad."
Conte: Højlund Fulfilling Star Expectations

United demonstrated their confidence in Højlund by acquiring him from Atalanta during summer 2023 for £72 million ($96.8 million), though their dedication to the Danish forward diminished throughout two challenging seasons.
Their setback became Napoli's opportunity as Conte approved a transfer expected to see Højlund become a permanent fixture next summer for approximately £38 million. The obligation activates if Napoli secures Champions League qualification, though according to Fabrizio Romano, plans already exist to retain Højlund irrespective of their European prospects.
"He's a 22-year-old who was marginalized at Manchester United," Conte observed. "He possesses considerable development potential. He must continue working because he has the capability to become a star, and he's demonstrating it."
Højlund has already expressed his desire to stay at Napoli beyond this campaign to capitalize on his strong beginning.
