Real Madrid have reportedly set their sights on Crystal Palace defender Marc Guéhi, though the La Liga champions will encounter fierce rivalry from Liverpool, Barcelona and Bayern Munich in pursuit of the centre-back.

Guéhi, who has just 12 months remaining on his Crystal Palace deal, witnessed his potential switch to Anfield collapse on transfer deadline day last month. The central defender had allegedly reached personal agreement with Liverpool, but the transfer broke down when the Eagles failed to secure a suitable replacement.

The England defender continues to be among the most coveted talents in the transfer window. While a January departure from the Eagles seems improbable, his availability as a free agent next summer could result in him joining one of Europe's elite clubs.
