Real Madrid Eyes Shocking Exit for €30 Million Star Midfielder

Real Madrid are reportedly contemplating terminating midfielder Reinier's contract should the Brazilian fail to secure a permanent transfer elsewhere during this summer window, according to recent reports.
Following their successful gambles on Brazilian talents Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo, acquired in 2017 and 2018 respectively, Madrid ventured back to South America and secured 18-year-old midfielder Reinier for €30 million ($34.9 million), remarkably just half a year after his professional debut.
Unlike Vinicius and Rodrygo who developed into key players, Reinier's journey has been vastly different. After six months in Madrid's academy, a two-year Borussia Dortmund loan yielded merely four starting appearances across all tournaments. Subsequent temporary moves to Girona, Frosinone, and most recently Granada have all failed to catalyze his development.
Now 23, Reinier has returned to Real Madrid with only twelve months remaining on his deal, and AS reports suggest no pathway exists for him at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Madrid's preferred scenario involves finding a permanent purchaser for Reinier, however his disappointing performances throughout five European seasons have significantly reduced potential buyers interested in his services.

Should Reinier fail to generate genuine transfer interest, Madrid would reportedly consider terminating the 23-year-old's contract to conclude his disappointing chapter at the club.
Although his Dortmund loan period proved challenging, the German club reportedly presented a permanent transfer offer during summer 2021—which Madrid quickly rejected—but circumstances have deteriorated considerably for the midfielder since then.
His Granada loan spell last season provided his highest playing time total at any single club. 25 matches between Spain's second division and Copa del Rey accumulated 1,401 minutes, though a severe hamstring problem further hampered his progress.
Madrid had hoped Reinier would enhance his market value during his Granada stint, but they now find themselves exploring extreme options to conclude his Bernabéu contract prematurely.
