Following their Champions League exit and back-to-back La Liga matches without victory, Real Madrid are in desperate need of a strong response against relegation-battling Alavés.

RM: Federico Valverde—The scorer in Madrid's last league match against Girona, the Uruguayan needs two more goals to match his personal best La Liga tally of seven.
CM: Aurélien Tchouaméni—Although Madrid took the lead on three occasions in Munich, Tchouaméni's defensive qualities were sorely missed as he served a suspension for the Champions League tie. He is expected to slot back in here.
CM: Jude Bellingham—Back to full fitness and form, Bellingham recently called himself a "victim" of his own adaptability amid difficulties in reproducing the attacking numbers he posted in previous seasons.
LM: Arda Güler—If any player emerged from Munich with enhanced reputation, it was Güler. The 21-year-old Turkish midfielder announced himself on the biggest stage at the Allianz Arena. No player has logged more appearances for Madrid this season.
ST: Kylian Mbappé—He netted in the reverse fixture at the Mendizorroza back in December and remains in contention for the Pichichi Trophy, having accumulated 23 goals so far.
ST: Vinicius Junior—Madrid's number seven has had a testing season, with the Bernabéu crowd frequently venting frustration at him in recent weeks following a run of just two goals and no assists across his last six La Liga appearances.
