Real Madrid boss José Mourinho has declared that anyone attempting to pry Endrick away from the Spanish capital will face "a serious fight on their hands with me." Roma sporting director Tony D'Amico has signaled he's ready to take that challenge head-on.
Endrick netted in Madrid's remarkable 4–3 comeback victory against Roma in the Champions League last week, yet has seen limited playing time this season, earning just one start in 2026–27.
Following a fruitful loan stint at Lyon in the spring, rumors had circulated that the 20-year-old would be sent out on loan again for the current campaign. Nevertheless, he remained at the club past the transfer window deadline, despite reported interest from several European sides.
Roma was among the clubs linked with the Brazilian, and the Italian outfit could reignite their pursuit in January, with sporting director D'Amico addressing the rumors ahead of his side's Serie A fixture against Genoa.
D'Amico Stokes Endrick Rumors

On the subject of January business, D'Amico told Sky Sport Italia: "Certainly, to tackle certain competitions and compete in matches like Wednesday's, but also to secure our position in the Champions League, we'll need to take another step and bring in reinforcements. We made attempts in the summer and fell short for various reasons, but we'll look to strengthen again."
When pressed specifically about a potential move for Endrick, he hinted that a loan arrangement could be on the table.
"Our philosophy is to sign quality players," D'Amico said. "When you bring in a player on loan, there are different clauses you can include. As Roma, we want the option, at the end of the season, to permanently retain whoever we bring in on a temporary basis. That's how we operate."

Speaking in the aftermath of Real Madrid's victory over Roma, during which he was awarded UEFA Man of the Match honors, Endrick acknowledged he would be open to a January departure.
"I take things one day at a time," he told the press. "If I need to leave in January, I'll go; if I need to stay, I'll stay. I'll follow whatever path God guides me toward."
The young striker's position appears to be at odds with Mourinho's, who, despite rarely fielding Endrick, is firmly opposed to letting him leave.
"Forget it, forget it. Forget any interested clubs," the manager said when quizzed about January transfer speculation surrounding Endrick. "They'd better sit down, otherwise they'll wear themselves out waiting."
"He is a player I truly value, with extraordinary potential. He is very important to this squad. Anyone who wants him will have a serious fight on their hands with me, because I believe he has no need to go out on loan and will achieve great things here."
Vinícius Jr Ban Opens Door for Endrick

Endrick has largely been a fringe player at Madrid under several managers since his arrival in 2024, when he was celebrated as South American football's brightest young talent.
Off the back of his Champions League heroics as a substitute, Endrick was handed his first league start of the season in the weekend's 4–1 triumph over Sevilla, deployed out wide on the right flank.
With Kylian Mbappé firmly entrenched as Mourinho's first-choice striker—now with super-sub Carlos Espí providing backup—Endrick's best route to regular minutes may be as a wide player, a position he filled with some success during his loan spell at Lyon last season.
Sunday's win at the Bernabéu saw Mourinho shake up his lineup following a string of inconsistent displays. Arda Güler was shifted into central midfield for greater creative influence, while Vinícius Jr's four-match ban forced a reshuffle on the wings, with Yan Diomande also handed a starting berth.
With three matches remaining before his fellow Brazilian returns from suspension, Endrick has a prime opportunity to stake his claim in this Madrid side.
His upcoming chances include Wednesday's Champions League home tie against RB Leipzig and El Clásico at Camp Nou on Sunday, Oct. 25. Should he continue to deliver as he did against Roma, he will give Mourinho and Madrid's hierarchy plenty of food for thought.
