Rodrygo Faces Fan Interrogation Over Potential Arsenal Move

Real Madrid's attacking player Rodrygo found himself in an awkward situation when questioned about his unclear future at the Spanish club. When reporters inquired about a possible move to Arsenal, the Brazilian simply chose to leave without responding.
The Brazilian's career prospects have become a hot topic of discussion throughout this summer transfer window. His hopes for a new beginning under manager Xabi Alonso were short-lived. The multi-position Brazilian attacker began Madrid's opening Club World Cup match and assisted Gonzalo García's goal against Al Hilal before being substituted after 65 minutes. This would turn out to be his last starting appearance in the competition.
Alonso only gave Rodrygo four minutes of playing time during the elimination rounds and kept him benched during Madrid's devastating 4–0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.
Defending his tactical decisions, Alonso explained: "His lack of playing time afterward was determined match by match. Given how events unfolded, we required a different type of player. No future-related decisions were made during this entire competition; our rotation was minimal."
Madrid was eliminated from the competition without Rodrygo on July 9, but the Brazilian apparently remained in the United States for additional time. The 24-year-old was photographed with curious supporters in New York's Times Square several days afterward.
"Will you join Arsenal?" one fan inquired in English. Following a brief hesitation, possibly waiting for translation, Rodrygo's smile faded and he quietly departed from the group.
Arsenal appears to be a less probable destination now. The North London club has been consistently linked with interest in Madrid's underutilized forward, but the expected signing of winger Noni Madueke from Chelsea effectively ends their pursuit of Rodrygo.
Manchester City and PSG are believed to be interested in the Brazilian international who openly seeks a more significant role—something neither team could realistically promise.
