Roy Keane Unleashes Fury on Kobbie Mainoo's Brother Over Explosive T-Shirt Scandal
Roy Keane has criticized Kobbie Mainoo's half-sibling as a "fool" for donning a shirt displaying 'Free Kobbie' during Manchester United's wild 4–4 stalemate with Bournemouth.
Jordan Mainoo-Hames was spotted taking photographs in the provocative garment at Old Trafford last Monday, which predictably generated significant media attention following the conclusion of an exciting match on the field. While it remains uncertain whether Mainoo was aware of his relative's demonstration, it has added unwanted additional strain on the United player.
Mainoo has seen limited action under Ruben Amorim this campaign, having previously sought a temporary move in the summer to advance his progress. The youth product has only begun one fixture, which was the surprising loss to League Two side Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup's second stage.
Sources indicate that Mainoo's dissatisfaction has prompted him to request another loan opportunity before the January window opens, though the Red Devils will only approve a departure if an "outstanding proposal" materializes, per recent reporting.
During the Stick to Football show, Keane commented on the Mainoo situation and delivered harsh criticism regarding the 20-year-old's elder brother.
Keane Encourages Mainoo to Battle for Man Utd Position

"When his foolish sibling is pulling these stunts—we shouldn't even acknowledge his brother," stated the former United skipper. "Because sometimes you're simply surrounded by fools, particularly within families.
"You arrive after the game, and your brother pulled that stunt ... if my sibling had done that, you'd be staring at him thinking, 'what are you thinking?' You would, and you know what—do you believe his brother acted without consulting him?"
Keane also discussed Mainoo's United prospects extensively, encouraging the midfielder to remain at Old Trafford and compete for his position instead of pursuing a departure.
"He's 20 years old, what's the issue with staying and mastering your craft? And even if he's not getting opportunities, we've all experienced it," the Irishman continued. "Sometimes a coach challenges you and what you must do is demonstrate they're mistaken. Each day presents your opportunity to show the manager your worth. He needs to adopt that mentality.
"A footballer's journey involves constantly proving doubters wrong. I have no issue with players pursuing loans, it can benefit everyone, but sometimes as a player, your greatest test is right here at Man Utd and earning that first-team spot."
Although Casemiro faces suspension for United's forthcoming Premier League clash with Aston Villa on Sunday, Mainoo still isn't anticipated to feature in the West Midlands as Manuel Ugarte prepares to enter the lineup. Should this prove accurate, his frustration over limited chances becomes understandable.
