Roy Keane Unleashes Scathing Attack on Man Utd Star Following Crushing Aston Villa Loss
Roy Keane has criticized Diogo Dalot following Manchester United's loss to Aston Villa on Sunday, claiming the defender is "not contributing enough" for the team.
Morgan Rogers dominated proceedings at Villa Park during his team's 2-1 triumph over the Red Devils, breaking the deadlock with an exceptional strike from outside the box. Matheus Cunha swiftly leveled the score following a Villa error, but Rogers emerged as the decisive figure once again in the second half.
The England star gathered a stray ball within the penalty box and curled his shot into the net to restore Villa's advantage, with United failing to find another equalizer as they suffered their sixth loss across all competitions this season.
Despite the Red Devils showing quality for much of the encounter in the Midlands, club legend and former United midfielder Keane was critical of their defensive work, specifically targeting Dalot post-match and blaming him for both Villa goals.
According to Keane, the Portuguese fullback should have provided better support to Leny Yoro during Rogers' opener, while he also failed to prevent Youri Tielemans from delivering the cross that led to the forward's second strike of the day.
Keane Delivers Scathing Criticism of Struggling Dalot

Keane was ruthless in his evaluation of Dalot's poor defensive display against Villa, suggesting he represents a broader commitment problem within United's squad on the field.
"You can possess all the ability in the world," Keane stated during his analysis on Sky Sports. "We've discussed this repeatedly but you must work hard and when matches become challenging there are instances where you think, 'I'm going to contribute for the team.' There are too many players, like Dalot, who simply don't contribute enough.
"I won't say 'cheating' but they're simply not contributing enough. And following the match I'd be focusing on him—I wouldn't be examining other aspects of the game."
Dalot moved back to his natural right-back position against Villa after being deployed on the left wing in recent matches, but the 26-year-old's poor showing, combined with injuries to key center-backs Matthijs de Ligt and Harry Maguire, proved damaging for United at Villa Park.
