Ruben Amorim Drops Shocking Benjamin Sesko Confession Following Gary Neville's Scathing Attack

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has acknowledged that summer acquisition Benjamin Šeško has found it challenging to settle into life at Old Trafford after his move from RB Leipzig.

United secured a transfer deal valued at approximately £74 million ($97.2 million) to bring Šeško to the club late in the transfer window, with the Slovenia striker scoring twice in his opening 11 appearances across all competitions.

However, his performances have not impressed supporters, with United icon Gary Neville recently claiming Šeško was "miles off it" when compared to other summer signings Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, both players who already possessed extensive Premier League experience.

Though Amorim stated he has no concerns about Šeško's initial displays, he revealed the 22-year-old has been less optimistic about his situation.

"I remain calm. He doesn't feel calm," Amorim explained. "I comprehend how football works and he will face difficulties. This is expected.

"He lacks experience in this environment, and when the initial impact occurs where everyone declares you're exceptional, you're the future star—which you hear regarding Šeško—and then you join a club that represents the most challenging destination.

"When you fail to deliver each week, you'll receive plenty of criticism from club icons, analysts, media outlets, and sometimes their assessments are accurate. Having the capacity to recognize this as normal while preserving your confidence level proves extremely difficult for a young player, particularly one who is a perfectionist.

"He desires to manage everything, yet he cannot control all aspects. Naturally, nobody enjoys hearing criticism, but he has faced some challenges and that's reality. So let's accept that. It's not targeted, it's nothing personal. That's what I attempt to communicate to the squad.

"This isn't personal. It's a viewpoint that will shift in three weeks. Everything considered true today could be false in three weeks."

Amorim: Complete Faith Sesko Will Succeed

Despite United being continuously connected with numerous new strikers, Amorim openly expressed his backing for Šeško, emphasizing his total faith in the young attacker's capability to change the story surrounding him.

"Certainly, it's difficult to accept," Amorim added. "But my guidance to Ben is you'll become accustomed to it, and eventually it will feel routine. It will become like your typical Monday experience here.

"This represents part of the development process and we will support him, and we will shield Ben because he demonstrates tremendous work ethic and we desire success. Therefore he will achieve success.

"Since I began coaching Ben, he possesses greater ability than I initially believed. He will encounter difficulties and we must understand his preferred playing style to incorporate our concepts.

"He will serve as our striker for years to come. However, he will experience these challenges and obstacles along the journey, and that represents a standard aspect of football."
