Ruben Amorim Shocks Football World with Bold Defense of Cristiano Ronaldo's Man Utd Bombshell

Instead of standing by his current club, Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim acknowledged that the organization had "committed numerous errors in previous years" when confronted with Cristiano Ronaldo's harsh critique.

Once again, Ronaldo offered a frank assessment of his former team. Amorim was mostly exempt from his fellow Portuguese's criticism—"He's [doing] his best. What's he going to do? Miracles? Miracles [are] impossible"—but the broader leadership failed to meet Ronaldo's expectations.

"Manchester United, at this moment, they lack proper structure," he remarked. "I hope that transforms going forward."

Amorim was inevitably confronted with these remarks during his pre-game media session before Saturday's match against Tottenham Hotspur. "Obviously, he understands he carries enormous influence with everything he expresses," the United manager stated.

"However, what we must concentrate on is what lies ahead. We recognize as an organization we committed numerous errors previously. We are working to alter that. Let's not dwell on what transpired. We must concentrate on what's coming. Let's focus on how we are conducting ourselves.

"We are transforming many aspects, the framework, how we expect the players to conduct themselves, we are progressing. Let's move past the previous period somewhat."

Amorim Points to Arsenal as Model for Man Utd

Amorim has witnessed a notable improvement in displays and results during the past month, but the ambitious manager remains unsatisfied. United's sole shutout from their 11 matches this campaign came at home against newly promoted Sunderland. When questioned about this disappointing statistic, Amorim referenced Arsenal's exceptional defensive record as a benchmark to emulate.

"It's an issue," the 40-year-old acknowledged regarding the clean sheet shortage. "If you observe the league currently, the team that's succeeding isn't allowing goals. That's crucial.

"When you possess skilled players, if you defend effectively, at some point, you can find the net and secure victory. But it's a collective effort. We must defend properly and show more intensity. Everything is interconnected.

"However, we cannot permit the number of goals we're conceding currently. Sometimes when you defend exceptionally well, you attack more effectively. In our previous match, [Nottingham Forest] registered 17 attempts against us. We cannot permit that. We must address this concern."
