Ruben Dias Pledges Loyalty to Man City Faithful, Inks Fresh Deal: "This Is My Mission"

Rúben Dias has declared that he cannot envision himself wearing any other club's colors besides Manchester City's following his signature on a fresh contract extension.

News broke earlier this month that an agreement had been reached with the central defender to prolong his tenure at the Etihad Stadium, eliminating any speculation after the Portuguese star had two years remaining on his existing deal.

"I feel tremendously delighted," Dias shared with club media following his Friday signing of the new four-year agreement. "I'm extremely honored to wear this magnificent club's jersey.

"City represents exactly where I aspire to be—at football's pinnacle, battling for championships. The organization's goals match mine perfectly, and as a professional player, nothing surpasses that alignment.

"Manchester has captured my heart—it's become my residence—and the Manchester City supporters have my devotion. Their backing since my arrival has been truly remarkable, and I'm deeply grateful to them.

"Reflecting on the championships we've secured and our style of play throughout my tenure here, I cannot picture myself elsewhere. My responsibility now is to perform at my peak throughout this contract period, contributing to our pursuit of additional honors."

Dias has accumulated 223 matches for City thus far, securing four Premier League championships and claiming the 2022–23 Champions League trophy during a five-year period that has established him among the globe's elite defenders.
