Saka Sets Sights on Arsenal Glory After Penning Blockbuster New Deal

Arsenal have officially announced that Bukayo Saka has committed to a new extended deal with the club, with the player sharing his vision for the "impact" he aims to create at the Gunners.

While the exact duration hasn't been formally revealed, media reports leading up to the confirmation suggested it's a five-year agreement extending through 2031.

Saka has already accumulated nearly 300 senior appearances for Arsenal following his breakthrough at age 17 in 2018 and has frequently worn the captain's armband when regular leader Martin Øegaard is unavailable.

"I'm absolutely thrilled. This is a wonderful moment for both my family and myself," he shared with club media. "I feel tremendous happiness to extend my time at this club. For me, this decision was straightforward and I simply hope to achieve everything possible here.

"The path that I've traveled, from my beginnings to my current position, and the progression the team has made as well, is truly remarkable.

"I'm convinced the upcoming years will be when we cross the finish line, and we'll be capable of securing silverware and creating history for this club. We've returned to our rightful place, competing for every honor."

Arsenal are enduring a six-year barren spell dating back to 2020, while the club last secured the Premier League title at the conclusion of 2003–04. Three close calls in recent campaigns might become a fourth following Wednesday evening's recent setback, but Saka remains resolute.

"When I look back at the conclusion of my playing days, I want to reflect on a youngster who began at seven or eight years old on trial with Arsenal and then completed the entire journey to capture every available trophy," the winger stated.

"That's the impact I want to establish, and when I look back at the end of my playing career, that's what I want to witness. That would bring me fulfillment."
