Shocking Man Utd Star Dropped as Benjamin Sesko Benched for Crucial Arsenal Clash

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim will be missing goalkeeper André Onana for Arsenal's trip to Old Trafford, while Rasmus Højlund has also been excluded from the matchday squad as speculation continues regarding his potential departure.

The Danish striker has attracted interest from RB Leipzig, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund recently after United completed the acquisition of 22-year-old Benjamin Šeško, leading to the choice to completely omit him from the Red Devils' selection.

Onana was absent from all five of United's pre-season matches due to a hamstring problem, and remains unavailable for selection in goal. Altay Bayındır will step in as the starting keeper, with Tom Heaton providing backup from the substitutes' bench.

Amorim has chosen to keep Šeško, who lacks competitive sharpness, among the substitutes and will deploy an attacking trio of Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Mason Mount. Both Mbeumo and Cunha will make their Premier League bow in United colors, while Mount faces a crucial opportunity following a devastating series of injuries that have severely hampered his progress.

Matthijs de Ligt, Leny Yoro and Luke Shaw form the central defensive trio, with Diogo Dalot and Patrick Dorgu functioning as Amorim's dynamic wing-backs. Centrally, Bruno Fernandes once more partners with Casemiro in a two-man engine room—a recurring setup throughout 2024–25 that hasn't proven particularly successful for the 13-time Premier League champions.
