Roan Responds to Jorginho's Scathing Takedown
The incident rapidly became viral and gained additional momentum the longer Roan remained silent. The artist proceeded to deliver her performance at Lollapalooza, a major music festival in Brazil, before eventually posting a video response to the accusations in the early morning hours.
"I'm simply going to share my side of what occurred today involving a mother and child who had an encounter with a security guard who isn't my personal protection," Roan explained.
"I never even noticed a woman and child. Nobody approached me. Nobody disturbed me. I was merely eating breakfast at my hotel, and I believe these individuals were also guests there.
"I did not request the security guard to approach and speak with this mother and child. I absolutely did not. They never came near me. They weren't causing any problems. It's unjust for security to simply assume someone has bad intentions when there's no basis for that belief, since no inappropriate behavior even occurred.
"I don't dislike people who enjoy my music, and I don't dislike children. That's absurd. I apologize to the mother and child. Someone made an assumption, and if that made you feel unwelcome, that deeply saddens me. You didn't deserve that treatment."
