Star Striker Opens Up About Manchester United Dream Move

Striker Tolu Arokodare, who has been connected to Manchester United, has revealed his aspiration to represent the Red Devils following an outstanding scoring record at Genk.
The 24-year-old forward moved to the Belgian side in January 2022 and went on to net 15 goals in his debut full campaign, followed by 23 strikes in his second season. The striker has also earned four caps for Nigeria's national squad, finding the net for his first international goal during a friendly match in June.
Standing at an impressive 6'6, Arokodare has understandably attracted attention from European clubs for a potential summer departure from Genk, with Manchester United among those reportedly showing preliminary interest.
For the towering forward, such speculation represents a tremendous privilege, and he has spoken candidly about his ambitions to feature in England's top flight for the team he followed as a youngster.
"Naturally, competing in the Premier League is something I dream about, and I'm definitely keeping my focus on that possibility," the striker shared with Sports Boom. "Regardless of what opportunities arise, I'll carefully consider them and choose what's best. I've always supported Manchester United, so if that opportunity presents itself, it would be incredibly meaningful for both me and my family."
Despite previous loan experiences at Köln and Amiens, Arokodare would represent an unexpected signing for the Red Devils, though the struggling club is actively pursuing offensive reinforcements. Both Rasmus Højlund and Joshua Zirkzee failed to meet expectations last season, and United cannot tolerate similar inefficiency in the upcoming 2025–26 campaign.
The club had shown interest in Liam Delap before his recent move to Chelsea this month, while Viktor Gyökeres remains highly regarded by manager Ruben Amorim and the scouting department, though the player appears to favor a switch to Arsenal.
However, Manchester United have already strengthened their forward line by acquiring Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers for £62.5 million ($84.1 million), and they are reportedly near completion of a transfer for Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo.
