Dominik Szoboszlai remains fully committed to Liverpool, according to his representative, despite growing rumors linking the midfielder with a potential move to Real Madrid.
Real Madrid faces a midfield reconstruction challenge following the departures of Toni Kroos and Luka Modrić in consecutive summers without adequate replacements, while Szoboszlai has emerged as arguably Liverpool's standout performer during what has been a challenging campaign for the Premier League titleholders.
However, importantly for Liverpool supporters, the player remains unaffected by the mounting speculation.
"It's entirely natural for people to discuss Dominik's future destination and potential career progression when he's delivering performances of this caliber," Mátyás Esterházy commented during a recent NB1 interview this month.
Vinicius Junior further fueled transfer talk by identifying Szoboszlai among his closest companions in football, having previously disclosed conversations with Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappé prior to their respective Real Madrid transfers. However, this remains "not our concern," Esterházy emphasized.
"We're currently mid-season. He faces significant commitments in the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Champions League. [Dominik] has repeatedly expressed how crucial these competitions are to him, making summer transfer discussions premature at this time. Furthermore, Liverpool represents one of football's elite institutions and Dominik occupies a significant role within the squad with considerable potential, so we're not considering external opportunities."

However, among those not approaching career twilight—Endō has reached 33 years—Mac Allister presents a more realistic departure scenario than Szoboszlai. Both players will have two years remaining on their current deals this upcoming summer, creating a crucial window for Liverpool to either secure contract extensions or consider sales while substantial transfer values remain achievable.
The two-year contract threshold proved problematic for Liverpool with Trent Alexander-Arnold, where delayed negotiations ultimately created complications. The club won't repeat this mistake.
