Concerns have been raised about Yamal's availability for Spain at this summer's World Cup in North America, though Barcelona noted in their statement that he is "expected to be available" for the tournament after opting for a "conservative treatment plan" over surgery.

Reports suggest a recovery period of approximately five weeks, which would put him well ahead of Spain's opening World Cup match on June 15, though the tight margins leave little margin for any potential complications.

Spain's first pre-tournament warm-up comes against Peru on June 8. While Yamal could potentially be fit for that game, it seems unlikely that Luis de la Fuente would give him heavy minutes so shortly after his comeback.

Yamal's primary objective will be arriving at this summer's World Cup in peak condition, with all parties content to make that the priority at this stage of the campaign.
