Claiming a title in one of Europe's elite five leagues—the Premier League, La Liga, Ligue 1, Serie A and the Bundesliga—stands as an extraordinary feat for any footballer.

Certain stars, though, are far from content with a single triumph, going on to amass numerous league championships throughout their careers—sometimes across multiple different countries.

Here, Sports Illustrated examines the players who have accumulated the most league titles across Europe's top five divisions.

Spoiler alert: it reads like a hall of fame of football's greatest ever players.

Players with Most League Titles

Just five players in the history of European football have accumulated a total of 13 league titles, with Robert Lewandowski the most recent to enter that exclusive group.

The Polish forward claimed La Liga for a third time with Barcelona in 2025–26, adding to his eight Bundesliga crowns with Bayern Munich and two additional Meisterschalen with Borussia Dortmund.

Alongside him in that distinguished group are former Bayern teammates Manuel Neuer, Thomas Müller and Kingsley Coman. Müller and Neuer secured all 13 of their league titles with the Bavarian club, while Coman accumulated nine Bundesliga titles with Bayern, plus two Ligue 1 championships with Paris Saint-Germain and two Serie A triumphs with Juventus.

Ryan Giggs, meanwhile, captured 13 Premier League titles during his extraordinary 21-year career with Manchester United.

Beyond that group, three more players have won 12 league titles across Europe's top five divisions, including Lionel Messi.

The Argentine icon claimed 10 La Liga titles with Barcelona before adding two Ligue 1 crowns with PSG. He is joined on 12 league titles by Real Madrid legend Paco Gento and David Alaba, who secured 10 Bundesliga titles with Bayern Munich before adding two La Liga championships with Real Madrid.

An additional four players have won 11 league titles across Europe's top five divisions.
