Toni Kroos Makes Legendary Comeback as Ultimate Team Icon in EA Sports FC 26

Real Madrid and Germany icon Toni Kroos has been confirmed as one of the fresh Icons arriving in EA Sports FC 26 Ultimate Team, as revealed by the developer through a promotional video released on Monday.

"Finally his moment has come, right?" an actor remarks while preparing to showcase Kroos as a new Icon addition to the game. The promotional video depicts what seems to be two EA Sports staff members navigating through an office level dedicated to housing and celebrating franchise Icons.

Legendary figures such as Roberto Carlos and Zinedine Zidane, both former Real Madrid superstars themselves, are glimpsed before the reveal of Kroos and his designated space titled Deutsche Perfektion, meaning German perfection. The complete trailer carries a Severance atmosphere to it.

"I belong to you," Kroos declares while donning a Real Madrid uniform from the 2023–24 season, the last jersey he wore during his illustrious tenure with Los Blancos.

Kroos secured five Champions League victories at Madrid alongside four La Liga championships. Combined with an extra European title at Bayern Munich and three German league trophies, Kroos's collection is crowned by the FIFA World Cup triumph from 2014.

The former German playmaker becomes part of Ultimate Edition cover athlete Zlatan Ibrahimović as fresh Icons with additional reveals anticipated leading up to the upcoming season. Previously, Gareth Bale, Mia Hamm, Nadine Angerer, Gianluigi Buffon, Lotta Schelin, Marinette Pichon, Julie Foudy, Lillian Thuram and Aya Miyama were introduced to the title.

Kroos will receive a 90 rating as a foundation Icon and will feature as a center midfielder (CM). He might have alternative positions too considering Kroos's standard gold card in FC 24, the final edition where he appeared as an active competitor, also included CDM.

Kroos will probably obtain special cards during the Ultimate Team season.
