Tottenham's Transfer Blitz Could Shake Up Chelsea, Man City, and Real Madrid's Summer Plans

Tottenham Hotspur's pursuit of fresh attacking talent may disrupt the transfer strategies of Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid.

Spurs have made an impressive beginning under Thomas Frank's guidance. Following an engaging debut showing in the UEFA Super Cup that concluded with a penalty shootout loss to Paris Saint-Germain, Tottenham comfortably overcame Burnley before earning a well-deserved 2–0 triumph against Manchester City on Saturday.

However, despite these encouraging signs, Spurs still require creative reinforcements in attack. The midfield trio that featured against PSG and City—João Palhinha, Pape Sarr and Rodrigo Bentancur—would be better equipped for heavy lifting than breaking down resolute defensive units.

Frank's team seemed poised to secure Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace before Arsenal swooped in to steal the deal.

Interest in Manchester City's Savinho initially surfaced alongside the Eze pursuit. Losing out on the England star has only strengthened Tottenham's determination, with the north London club reportedly willing to invest up to €70 million (£60.6 million, $81.8 million) for the Brazilian wide player.

Savinho

This news emerged after the Daily Mail disclosed that Spurs were also monitoring RB Leipzig's Xavi Simons. The Netherlands international remains a priority target for Chelsea and reportedly favors a switch to west London. Nevertheless, Sky Sports News suggests the Blues might only afford one of Simons or Alejandro Garnacho unless they successfully sell Christopher Nkunku, Nicolas Jackson and Tyrique George.

While moves for Savinho and Simons would prompt immediate tactical adjustments from Tottenham's domestic competitors, Spurs might also derail Real Madrid's established objectives.

The Spanish powerhouse has maintained long-standing interest in elegant left-footed talent Nico Paz, who progressed through Madrid's youth system before transferring to Como. Cesc Fàbregas's Serie A newcomers have insisted the Argentine will remain this summer, though Tottenham are challenging their stance.

Spurs lodged an enhanced bid of €50 million for Paz over the weekend, according to Sky Italia. Como reportedly seek €70 million while the player himself has yet to decide on the potential transfer.

Tottenham have faced setbacks this summer but their search for creative talent could now unsettle another European powerhouse.
