With the 2026 World Cup just around the corner and a likely spot on the U.S. men's national team roster ahead of him, Antonee "Jedi" Robinson is hitting his stride at exactly the right moment. The left back netted his first Premier League goal on Sunday, becoming the 28th American to find the net in the competition.
The 28-year-old converted from the penalty spot in Fulham's 1–1 stalemate with already-relegated Wolves, slotting past José Sá and finally celebrating a Premier League goal in his 157th appearance in England's top division.
Although it was his maiden Premier League strike, it was Robinson's fourth goal in 214 total appearances for the Cottagers, with his previous three coming in the EFL Championship and one in the Carabao Cup.

Despite the personal milestone, the result was a significant setback for Fulham's European ambitions in 2026-27, as they dropped points against bottom-placed Wolves when three were desperately needed.
The draw leaves them on 49 points with one fixture remaining, three behind Brentford, who currently occupy the Europa Conference League qualifying position in eighth; however, additional European spots could open up for English clubs if Arsenal, Aston Villa, or Crystal Palace claim success in the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League finals, respectively.
USMNT Roster Release Looms

There were stretches this season and the last when Robinson feared his World Cup dream could be slipping away, having dealt with knee surgery followed by ankle and thigh problems. But since returning to action in December, those concerns have been firmly put to rest.
Robinson, who holds 52 caps with the USMNT and featured for the Stars and Stripes at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, will learn his World Cup fate on May 26, when head coach Mauricio Pochettino announces his 26-man squad in New York City.

While it remains undecided whether the USMNT will deploy a three- or four-man defensive line at the tournament, Robinson offers flexibility as either a traditional left back or a left wing-back, and appears set to feature in the starting eleven.
Once the USMNT confirms its squad, the side will take on Germany and Senegal in pre-tournament friendlies before kicking off their World Cup campaign on home turf against Paraguay on June 12 in Los Angeles.
