Viktor Gyokeres Rejects Juventus Bid, Holds Out for Dream Move

Sporting CP forward Viktor Gyökeres is reportedly prepared to hold off on transfer decisions until the final stages of the window, hoping to secure his desired move to Arsenal.

The striker has captured the attention of Europe's top clubs following two outstanding campaigns with Sporting, netting 97 goals across 102 appearances in all competitions. His ambition to compete in the Premier League has put him on the radar of both Arsenal and Manchester United.

Driven by aspirations to perform at elite level, Gyökeres has allegedly communicated to United his reluctance to join Old Trafford this summer, with Arsenal being his top choice destination.

Although the North London club has seriously considered acquiring the Swedish international, they are currently evaluating alternative targets, including RB Leipzig's Benjamin Šeško.

Arsenal's hesitation to make a concrete move has allowed Juventus to emerge as potential suitors, however, according to Record, Gyökeres is willing to reject their interest while awaiting an Arsenal proposal.

Negotiations between Arsenal and Sporting are reportedly at a standstill, yet Gyökeres maintains optimism that a deal could materialize, and with the Premier League club still seeking striker reinforcements, he intends to prioritize Mikel Arteta's side.

Arsenal's pursuit of a new frontman remains in early stages, with Gyökeres still considered a viable option, suggesting the 27-year-old is content to wait for Arsenal to make their move.

Other clubs pursuing Gyökeres include Atlético Madrid and several Saudi Arabian teams, though his attention stays fixed on Premier League opportunities. Earlier reports indicated potential openness to offers from Liverpool and Manchester City—both European powerhouses—yet his preference clearly lies with Arsenal.
