Vinicius Junior Breaks Silence on Real Madrid Contract Negotiations: "I've Always Said This"

Vinicius Junior has reaffirmed his commitment to extending his stay with Real Madrid through a new contract.
The Brazilian star's existing agreement expires in 2027 and has become a point of discussion in recent months, as Saudi Arabian clubs are reportedly prepared to make a record-breaking offer to capitalize on the contract uncertainty.
Earlier reports suggested that Madrid and Vinicius were nearing an agreement on a contract extension, but the lack of visible advancement has sparked concerns that potential disputes over Kylian Mbappé's compensation package might be creating complications internally.
Although Vinicius remained tight-lipped about the current state of his contract discussions with Madrid, the winger openly expressed his commitment to continuing at the Santiago Bernabéu.
"My hope is to remain here for many more years," he stated following his impressive performance in Madrid's 3–0 victory against Red Bull Salzburg. "I've consistently maintained that this is my dream club. I'm extremely satisfied with our manager and the entire coaching staff, and my wish is to continue here.

"My current contract extends through 2027, spanning two more years. I've repeatedly expressed my intention to spend my entire career here and create remarkable history with this club."
The wage disagreement reportedly centers around Madrid's signing incentives offered to Mbappé. Although Los Blancos maintained their salary framework when acquiring the French star last year, they provided substantial signing bonuses that significantly boosted his total compensation.
Sources suggest that Vinicius is seeking comparable treatment, arguing that his development into one of football's elite attackers warrants enhanced wages and bonuses to match Mbappé's earning level.
The dynamic between Vinicius and Mbappé has generated considerable discussion for months, yet new head coach Xabi Alonso remains optimistic about their continued collaboration on the field.
"They have the capability, with Vini operating wide and Kylian centrally... these roles complement each other, success is achievable, individual talent exists, but team cohesion is essential," Alonso commented regarding the duo. "Collectively, not as separate entities... We must leverage our team strength."
