Vinicius Junior Fires Back with Mysterious Social Media Post After Bernabeu Crowd Turns on Him

Vinicius Junior allegedly hadn't even exited the Real Madrid locker room when he updated his Instagram profile image following a wave of jeers from the Santiago Bernabéu supporters.

During his exit from the field after Saturday's 2–0 victory against Sevilla, Vinicius encountered a polarized reaction from the spectators. Audible whistles mixed with enthusiastic applause—demonstrating the obvious split in fan sentiment.

Within ten minutes of the match's conclusion, Vinicius made a notable modification to his Instagram account. Per MARCA, the forward remained seated in the locker room when he switched his profile image from a photo showing him with the Madrid jersey to one featuring him in Brazil's yellow kit.

Vinicius also shared match photographs but refrained from including an optimistic post-game message for the fanbase.

Rather, the Brazilian star simply wrote in his caption: "..."

Teammates Rally Behind Vinicius Junior

Though reactions to Vinicius's social media gesture have split supporters, his Madrid colleagues seemed entirely supportive.

Kylian Mbappé, who was celebrating matching Cristiano Ronaldo's calendar year scoring milestone, replied with four heart emojis, while midfielder Jude Bellingham acknowledged Vinicius as "My number 7."

Endrick, Marco Asensio, Brazilian icon Marcelo and former Madrid fullback Lucas Vázquez were also among those offering encouragement to Vinicius, whose actions quickly dominated the discussion during manager Xabi Alonso's media briefing.

"Supporters have the right to voice their feelings, but it was a challenging contest," Alonso commented regarding the crowd's negative reaction. "I appreciate the squad's current momentum, and with these player absences, we'll utilize this period to recover and return stronger."

Alonso confirmed he hadn't addressed the situation with Vinicius, stating: "We've all been saying our farewells in the changing room. We haven't discussed it."
