Wayne Rooney Unleashes Brutal Attack on Man Utd Players and Ruben Amorim: "This Is Not Man Utd"
Wayne Rooney has delivered a scathing critique of Manchester United as a whole, stating he can no longer identify with the club where he enjoyed 13 brilliant years.
During his tenure with the Red Devils, Rooney secured five Premier League championships, playing for a team that was among Europe's most formidable while he performed at Old Trafford and possessed the kind of standing that Ruben Amorim's present squad can only aspire to achieve.
The recent loss at Brentford, which left Amorim with merely nine victories from 33 Premier League matches, was the final straw for Rooney, who utilized the most recent installment of The Wayne Rooney Show to criticize every facet of the organization.
"What's happening at Man Utd?" Rooney questioned. "This isn't Man Utd. I can't identify with the entire football organization.
"I don't observe players battling, I don't witness character, I don't see the hunger to succeed. I don't notice talent, I don't spot game-changers, nothing excites me. I attend matches anticipating, expecting, here we go once more—anticipating the squad to fall short or perhaps earn a single point.
"I have affection for the club. I spent 13 years at the football organization and what's transpiring isn't acceptable. And this isn't entirely the manager's fault, incidentally. I'm witnessing players who don't merit wearing the jersey. And it's painful.
"This isn't tolerable, what's occurring. There must be a definitive statement from the ownership. Whether that's the Glazers, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, there must be clarity about this club's direction. Currently we're all sitting here anticipating its collapse.
"It's not solely about on-field results. It's everything regarding the club that requires repair. Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS have inherited a genuine predicament. We're witnessing staff being dismissed after 20, 30 years who are crucial individuals to that football organization. The atmosphere of that football club has disappeared. I witness it constantly. I observe staff losing positions, people departing their roles.
"I have two children at that football club and I genuinely hope this doesn't impact their activities. What I'm observing at that football organization isn't Manchester United. The spirit has departed from the club.
"It requires a fresh foundation, a new beginning. It needs something to revitalize that football organization. I'm not observing anything that provides me with confidence, there must be significant modifications in my view. Manager, players, whatever that entails. Whatever is necessary to restore Manchester United."

Rooney proceeded to acknowledge that his own disappointing managerial experience prevents him from being overly harsh toward Amorim, but concluded by declaring he simply has "no confidence" in the current manager's ability to reverse the situation.
"I simply don't understand what's happening," he added. "I've attempted management myself and it wasn't successful, I understand. Ruben Amorim is my age, he remains a young manager and I'm certain he still has a bright future ahead, but what's occurring at Man Utd, this isn't Man Utd.
"I genuinely hope he can reverse this situation and succeeds. But if you're asking me, 'Do you think he will?', then, considering everything I've witnessed, honestly, I have no confidence in it."
