Welcome to Wrexham Season 5: Release Date

Season 5 of Welcome to Wrexham is set to debut on May 14, 2026, with two episodes dropping simultaneously. After that, new episodes will be released on a weekly basis over the next six weeks.

The FX series, which has accumulated 10 Emmy Awards and two Critics' Choice Television Awards, will conclude on June 25, 2026. While details on the opening two episodes have been shared, production is still ongoing as the EFL Championship season heads toward its conclusion.

Welcome to Wrexham Season 5: How to Watch

Welcome to Wrexham Season 5 launches in May 2026 and will air weekly on FXX at 9 p.m. ET (6 p.m. PT). After each broadcast, U.S. audiences can catch up on episodes at any time via Hulu.

Just as in the U.S., Season 5 of Welcome to Wrexham will be broadcast weekly on FX in Canada. Episodes will also be available to stream on Disney+ Canada, Apple TV+, and FXNOW Canada.

U.K. viewers can only access the documentary series through a Disney+ subscription. The same applies to audiences watching in Australia.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac Preview Season 5

In the lead-up to the Welcome to Wrexham Season 5 premiere, co-chairmen Reynolds and Mac expressed their pride in bringing the Wrexham story to a global audience.

"We've earned the trust of the town, and the reward is that the people are incredibly forthcoming when it comes to the doc," Reynolds told ABC. "They really share their hearts and their stories in a vulnerable way because they know the story will be told responsibly and that we are here to listen and share their story."
