Where Could Endrick Land If Real Madrid Push Him Out in January? Top Destinations Ranked

"The issue for Brazilian youngsters is that they fail to develop because they aren't getting minutes on the pitch," Carlo Ancelotti told journalists during the international break.

"It's happening with Endrick, but also with other gifted players like Estêvão: they head to Europe at 18 or 19, they land at top clubs and can't break into the side. Without regular playing time, they simply can't grow. We have incredibly talented young players and we need to carefully monitor their development."

Endrick, 20, was supposed to be the face of Brazil's next generation, but is instead becoming a cautionary tale for his peers about the risks of making the move abroad at too young an age.

Since his high-profile move to Real Madrid in the summer of 2024, Endrick has failed to establish himself in the first team, and his lack of playing time has threatened to halt his evolution from prodigy to elite performer.

A fruitful loan spell at Lyon in the second half of 2025–26 demonstrated that his ability remains intact, but the signings of Yan Diomande and Carlos Espí, combined with the appointment of new boss José Mourinho, have pushed Endrick even further down the pecking order at Madrid—where he has managed just a single substitute appearance this season.

Madrid opted against sending the young striker out on loan last summer, but a January departure now looks increasingly likely, with multiple clubs said to be circling for a temporary deal.

6. Lyon

Endrick

Endrick's half-season stint in Ligue 1 proved to be a triumph, with the attacker netting eight goals and contributing eight assists across 21 appearances for Lyon.

He also adapted to a new role, excelling on the right flank—a position he was initially expected to fill at Madrid this season, before the high-profile arrival of Diomande and the irresistible form of Arda Güler derailed those plans entirely.

A second stint at Lyon for another six months wouldn't be a bad option, though Endrick would face stiff competition for starts from in-form Ernest Nuamah and Loïs Openda.

5. Real Sociedad

Mikel Oyarzabal

Real Sociedad were among the Spanish sides mentioned as a potential landing spot for Endrick during the summer window and could still be in contention for a January swoop.

Among La Liga's current top 10, only Athletic Club have found the net fewer times than La Real's nine goals this campaign, and it's evident that Pellegrino Matarazzo's side could benefit from an additional attacking threat, with Mikel Oyarzabal struggling to recapture his best form since the World Cup.

4. Aston Villa

Unai Emery shouting.

After seeing their squad heavily depleted over the summer, Aston Villa have had a rocky start to 2026–27, only registering their first victory of the season just before the international break.

Given Unai Emery's track record and expertise, there's a general belief that Villa will find their footing, and both Nicolas Jackson and Brian Madjo represent exciting attacking options.

Villa were another club reported to have made inquiries during the summer, and Endrick could provide a welcome spark out wide during the run-in, while freeing John McGinn to return to a more natural central role.

There are also few coaches better suited to nurturing talent than Emery, and no stage better for raising your market value than the Premier League.

3. Liverpool

Alexander Isak and Bradley Barcola

Liverpool, notably, brought in two predominantly left-sided wingers this summer yet lack a natural right-wing option—aside from Federico Chiesa.

Filling the void left by Mohamed Salah would be an enormous challenge for Endrick, but given the shortage of options at Anfield, the young Brazilian would almost certainly be embraced by supporters, at least on a short-term basis.

With Alexander Isak's fitness likely requiring careful management, the 20-year-old could also serve as a valuable rotation option through the middle, particularly while Hugo Ekitiké works his way back from a lengthy injury layoff.

2. Roma

Donyell Malen

Gazzetta Dello Sport reports that Roma have already reached out to Endrick's camp and remain serious about securing a deal.

Gian Piero Gasperini's side have hit the ground running in 2026–27, with Donyell Malen delivering in attack. However, a thin attacking bench gives Endrick the opportunity to make his mark on a team in good form and restore his standing at a storied European club.

Roma will have the opportunity to hold discussions with Real Madrid regarding their target when the two sides meet in the Champions League on Oct. 14 at the Olimpico.

1. AC Milan

Omari Hutchinson

The same report indicates that AC Milan are also keeping close tabs on Endrick ahead of the January window.

The seven-time European Cup champions were discouraged from pursuing a move in the summer and instead brought in Omari Hutchinson on loan from Nottingham Forest—though the former England U-21 international has seen limited action so far.

Manager Ruben Amorim generally favors a 3-4-2-1 system, which would likely see Endrick deployed as one of the two No. 10s—a somewhat unfamiliar role for the forward.

A key edge for Milan in any potential transfer battle is the Italian club's well-established ties with Roc Nation, the agency that represents Endrick.
