Wrexham have secured the signing of ex-Liverpool goalkeeper Miles Lewis on a scholarship agreement.
The 16-year-old departs the Merseyside outfit after eight years, having originally joined Liverpool at just eight years old. Lewis completed a trial period with Wrexham in February, working alongside the club's U18 squad as he considered his next steps.

During his trial, Lewis was even invited to participate in the first team's goalkeeper warm-up session ahead of Wrexham's thrilling 5–3 win against Ipswich Town. The teenage stopper helped put Arthur Okonkwo and Danny Ward through their preparations before the match in what turned out to be a crucial victory for Phil Parkinson's squad.
Since the Hollywood takeover, Wrexham have poured approximately $4 million into their academy infrastructure as part of their drive to build one of the top youth development setups in the UK. The Red Dragons have a distinguished history of nurturing talent from across North Wales, including club icons Joey Jones, Mickey Thomas and Gareth Davies.
Despite forming the foundation of the club for decades, academy investment was significantly cut following Wrexham's relegation into non-league football, with funds largely channelled toward restoring the men's first team to the Football League. Now, the club is committed to becoming a top destination for young talent across North Wales and Northwest England, and Lewis's signing stands as another positive sign of the strides being made at youth level.
Wrexham's U18 side reached the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup for the first time in the club's history last season, eclipsing their previous best run to the fourth round, a record that had stood since 1983.
Wrexham Announce Eight Scholarship Deals

Wrexham unveiled their newest intake of first-year scholars, with six players advancing through the club's Youth Development Phase.
Speaking after the players attended an induction evening prior to entering the Professional Development Phase for the 2026–27 season, Lead Coach Craig Knight said: "First of all, congratulations to all eight new scholars, and I'm really looking forward to working with them next season.
"Beyond receiving that scholarship offer, it was wonderful to mark that achievement together as a group and with their loved ones at the induction evening.
"The evening gave them a clear picture of the club's vision and how central the community is to everything we do. It also outlined what the scholarship program entails. It was just as important for parents to get to know the staff here at the club, as well as key external partners such as the college, the PFA, and the EFL.
"I think all of those elements came together to create a truly special moment for each young person who has put in so much hard work to reach this point. It's not the finish line; it's simply one milestone along the road."
