Wrexham Lands Dynamic New Striker to Fuel Championship Dreams After Beloved Star's Departure

Wrexham have announced the acquisition of Sheffield United forward Kieffer Moore, completing their eighth summer recruitment.

With their 2025–26 EFL Championship campaign beginning in just four days, Wrexham continue searching the transfer market for further additions. The Welsh club harbor ambitions of achieving Premier League promotion and require seasoned professionals with Championship experience.

Moore, who boasts 200 second-tier appearances in England, understands the demands of Championship football, particularly after previously assisting Bournemouth and Ipswich Town in securing promotion to England's elite division.

The Athletic reports the 32-year-old forward signed a three-year agreement with Wrexham, valued at £2 million ($2.7 million). If Moore completes his new contract fully, the striker will remain at the club through the conclusion of the 2027–28 campaign.

Moore joins an extensive roster of new arrivals prepared to don the Red Dragons jersey. Wrexham have already secured Conor Coady, Lewis O'Brien, Josh Windass, Ryan Hardie, Danny Ward, George Tomason and Liberato Cacace for their Welsh squad.

Moore's signing follows the departures of Steven Fletcher and Paul Mullin. Both forwards, who were beloved figures at the STōK Cae Ras, were instrumental in Wrexham's climb through England's football hierarchy.

Now, the onus will be on the Welsh striker to assist Phil Parkinson's squad in handling the demands of Championship competition. Frequently, Wrexham battled to score goals last season in EFL League One, and the Championship presents an even greater challenge for the Red Dragons.

Moore has accumulated 49 appearances for the Wales national squad throughout his career, netting 14 goals in the process. The forward represented his nation at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and will now experience an unprecedented homecoming.
