Wrexham will have five players heading off on international duty over the next few weeks as the EFL Championship takes its first break of the new campaign.
In a change to the fixture schedule, there will be a three-week international window that allows national teams to play four games within a single break, cutting the number of interruptions in the first half of the season from three down to two. In prior seasons, there was a two-week break each in September, October and November, along with another in March the following year.
This means the Championship will now observe a 16-day international break between matchdays, with Wrexham not returning to action until they make the trip to face Derby County on Saturday, Oct. 10. Here is a rundown of all the players who will be away during this period.

Wales
Danny Ward, Kieffer Moore
Wrexham pair Danny Ward and Kieffer Moore have both been included in the Wales squad for the upcoming Nations League fixtures. Craig Bellamy's side faces a challenging run of games following their promotion to Group D, where they will go up against Portugal, Denmark and Norway.
Ward has been an unused substitute in all eight of Wrexham's opening league games this season and is similarly considered the backup goalkeeper at international level behind Manchester United's Karl Darlow. However, he is now expected to take on a more prominent role during the break after Darlow pulled out of the squad.
Moore has been a central figure for Wrexham in the early part of the season, starting six of their eight league outings. He netted the opener as they beat Southampton 2–1 at the weekend and is anticipated to see significant action over the coming weeks.

Jamaica
Bailey Cadamarteri
Wrexham forward Bailey Cadamarteri has been called up to the Jamaica squad for their forthcoming CONCACAF Nations League fixtures. The Reggae Boyz will be looking to bounce back after narrowly failing to secure a World Cup berth, falling to DR Congo in the final of their inter-confederation playoff.
Cadamarteri has made just two substitute appearances this season and has not featured in any of Wrexham's last five matches. The 21-year-old has made three starts for his country this year and scored the decisive goal as Jamaica beat New Caledonia to advance to the World Cup playoff against DR Congo.

Burkina Faso
Issa Kaboré
Wing-back Issa Kaboré has been selected in the Burkina Faso squad for their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches. Unlike several of his club teammates, the 25-year-old will feature in just two international games during the break.
Kaboré has appeared in all six available matches for Wrexham since completing a permanent move from Manchester City in the summer, starting three of those. He played the full 90 minutes in the weekend victory over Southampton and is expected to be an important player for his nation in the upcoming fixtures.
Burkina Faso International Break Fixtures

Gabon
Jacques Ekomié
On the opposite flank to Kaboré, Jacques Ekomié has been included in the Gabon squad for their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifying games. He will also play just two matches during the international window before returning to North Wales early next month.
Ekomié has started all but one game since arriving from Angers in the final week of the summer transfer window, contributing two goals and one assist. He was influential in the weekend win over Southampton, providing the assist for their last-minute winner.

Who Has Missed Out?
Wrexham could have had even more players away on international duty were it not for injuries. Liberato Cacace has yet to make a competitive appearance this season and remains sidelined following a recent setback that has ruled him out of the New Zealand squad.
Nathan Broadhead was initially included in the Wales squad but had to withdraw due to a thigh problem. He faces a minimum of several weeks on the sidelines, with some suggesting he could potentially miss the rest of the calendar year.
Dom Hyam was named in the Scotland squad for the World Cup but has been omitted from the side selected by new head coach Sébastien Pocognoli.
Goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo, currently on loan at Charlton Athletic, has been called up to the Nigeria squad for the forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
