Wrexham kick off their latest bid for Premier League promotion with a road trip to Welsh counterparts Cardiff City on the opening day of the 2026–27 Championship season.
The Red Dragons achieved the finest finish in the club's history last season, ending up seventh in the table—just two points adrift of Hull City, who secured the last playoff berth before going on to win promotion to the top flight.
Wrexham are anticipating a far more competitive Championship campaign this time around, with Burnley, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers all expected to be among the division's strongest contenders following their recent drops from the Premier League.
Phil Parkinson's side won't have long to gauge just how tough the season will be. After welcoming Watford in their first home fixture, Wrexham face a grueling run of games against Birmingham City, Millwall, Swansea City, Burnley, West Ham, and Southampton ahead of the September international break.
The Red Dragons host Wolves at the Racecourse Ground in early November before heading to Stoke City on Boxing Day. Wrexham will round out the campaign at home against Bristol City in what they hope will be another promotion party.
Live television selections will be confirmed for certain Championship fixtures throughout the season. Consequently, dates and kickoff times are subject to change. All kickoff times listed are in Eastern Time (ET) and either British Summer Time (BST) or Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), depending on the time of year.
