Fresh Bid Lands for Kyle Walker as Man City Star Returns from AC Milan

Reports indicate that Fenerbahçe from Turkey has made contact with Manchester City regarding a potential transfer of defender Kyle Walker.

Earlier this year, Walker was considered dispensable by City and loaned to AC Milan during the January transfer window. Initially, this arrangement seemed likely to become permanent, but following a performance decline, Milan opted not to retain the player.

Having returned to Manchester City with just one year remaining on his contract, Walker has been excluded from Pep Guardiola's Club World Cup squad this summer. The English defender remains on the transfer market.

According to information first disclosed by Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, Fenerbahçe has expressed interest in Walker's situation and has initiated contact to express their intention to complete a transfer this summer.

Reports suggest Walker is requesting a two-year agreement from Fenerbahçe, with official discussions between both parties currently in progress.

Manchester City is eager to remove Walker's substantial salary from their books for the 2025–26 season and is prepared to facilitate his departure if he reaches terms with Fenerbahçe.

The Times mentions that Galatasaray has also shown interest, though they appear to be focusing primarily on acquiring Sacha Boey from Bayern Munich, who spent three years with the Turkish club before transferring to Germany in January 2024.

In addition to Walker, Manchester City is willing to consider offers for winger Jack Grealish, although The Guardian reports that no proposals have been received for the former Aston Villa player at this time.

Guardiola aims to reduce his squad size before the upcoming season begins, potentially forcing City to consider loan arrangements for Grealish if no clubs meet their valuation of £50 million ($67.8 million).
