Breaking: Gyokeres Rejects Man Utd Approach as Sporting CP Stands Firm on Steep Price Tag

Sporting CP forward Viktor Gyökeres has reportedly communicated to Manchester United that he will be declining any potential transfer to the club during this transfer window.
United, now under the guidance of ex-Sporting boss Ruben Amorim, recently renewed their interest in acquiring Gyökeres after noticing that Arsenal, another interested party, had shifted their attention toward RB Leipzig's Benjamin Šeško.
The situation subsequently became complicated when Sporting CP's president Frederico Varandas publicly accused Gyökeres's representative of "blackmail" and denied the existence of any arrangement that would allow the striker to depart for significantly less than his €100 million (£85.1 million, $115.4 million) release clause.
This allegation prompted Gyökeres to respond with a mysterious social media message promising to clarify the situation.
According to Record, the latest development reveals that Gyökeres's representatives have now formally notified Manchester United that they have no possibility of securing the player's services.

Earlier reports this summer suggested that Gyökeres was exclusively interested in joining top-tier European clubs, with Premier League sides such as Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City being his preferred destinations over Manchester United.
Adding to the uncertainty, Swedish media outlets published alleged statements from Gyökeres's agent claiming to possess evidence of an agreement with Sporting to transfer the player for €60 million (£51.1 million, $69.3 million) plus €10 million (£8.5 million, $11.5 million) in additional bonuses. However, Record insists these statements are fabricated.
The complexity increases with another report from the same publication indicating the existence of a legal document that would entitle Gyökeres's agent to a €6 million (£5.1 million, $6.9 million) commission if Sporting refuses an offer of €60 million presented through him.
In light of this agreement, Sporting has allegedly warned the agent that they will insist on payment of the full €100 million release clause unless there is flexibility regarding both the penalty provision and the overall transfer amount.
This increasingly perplexing scenario may lead Gyökeres's potential suitors, including Arsenal, to pursue alternative targets this summer. Manchester United, meanwhile, is believed to have already initiated discussions with Eintracht Frankfurt regarding Hugo Ekitiké.
