Champions League Giants Set to Secure Pogba's Signature in Stunning Deal

Paul Pogba is nearing a comeback to professional football as sources indicate he is in the final stages of discussions with Monaco from Ligue 1.
The midfielder received a four-year suspension after failing a doping test in September 2023, which was subsequently shortened to 18 months following an appeal in October 2024, just weeks before his contract with Juventus was mutually terminated.
Eligible to resume his professional career in March 2025, Pogba is currently searching for a new team, with Fabrizio Romano being the first to unveil Monaco's pursuit of the player.
ESPN reports that talks between Pogba and Monaco have progressed significantly, with a deal likely to be finalized in the upcoming days.
At 32 years old, Pogba hasn't competed in French club football since he was 16, when he departed Le Havre's youth academy to join Manchester United.
According to Fabrice Hawkins, Pogba is giving preference to joining Monaco this summer and has begun planning to relocate his family to southern France if the transfer materializes. He is willing to accept lower financial terms to facilitate the agreement.
Throughout his absence from the sport, Pogba has consistently shared updates on social media demonstrating his fitness regimen, while also touring several Major League Soccer clubs. Although D.C. United reportedly holds his discovery rights in MLS, Pogba is currently focused on revitalizing his career in Europe.
He has expressed that his time away from football has only intensified his "hunger" to return. While Pogba hoped to continue his career with Juventus, where he made just nine appearances after rejoining before his suspension, the Italian club opted instead to end his contract.
