Despite Kylian Mbappé's impressive first season, Real Madrid's 2024-25 campaign was largely disappointing. The team failed to retain their La Liga, Champions League, and Spanish Super Cup titles, while suffering four defeats against Barcelona across various competitions.

Real Madrid's struggles were partly due to defensive injuries, but Vinícius Júnior's subpar performance also impacted the team. The Brazilian forward managed only 11 goals in 30 league appearances and scored just once during the Champions League knockout stages.

However, the talented winger appears to have moved past last season's disappointments and is entering Real Madrid's first season under Xabi Alonso with championship aspirations.
