"Dream Come True" — Matheus Cunha Reveals Lifelong Man Utd Ambition After Sealing Transfer Deal

Matheus Cunha has pledged to assist Manchester United in reclaiming their position among Europe's elite clubs after completing his much-anticipated transfer to Old Trafford.

The Red Devils announced earlier this month that they had struck a deal to acquire Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers, with the adaptable attacker still requiring a visa to continue his career in England before finalizing the transfer.

Now that all legal requirements have been completed, Cunha has signed a five-year contract that includes an option for an additional 12-month extension.

"It's difficult to express how I feel about becoming a Manchester United player," he shared with club media. "Since childhood in Brazil watching Premier League matches on my grandmother's television, United was my favorite English team and I always dreamed of wearing the red shirt. I want to thank my family and everyone who helped make this dream come true.

"I'm eager to begin pre-season training to meet my teammates and prepare for the upcoming campaign. My focus now is entirely on working diligently to become a valuable team member and helping restore this club to its former glory."

This enthusiasm was echoed by the newly appointed sporting director Jason Wilcox, who detailed how the £62.5 million ($84.7 million) acquisition aligns with the club's strategic vision.

"Securing Matheus was one of our top priorities for this summer transfer window, so we're thrilled to have completed his signing so early," he stated.

"He has demonstrated his capability to excel in the Premier League as one of the most exciting and productive forwards in England during his time at Wolves, and previously in Spain and Germany.
