"DONE DEAL? Liverpool Target's Father Confirms Transfer Virtually Complete"

Liverpool's pursuit of their primary left back target seems nearly complete, with Milos Kerkez's father suggesting that only minor details remain before the transfer becomes official.

"We're exclusively committed to Liverpool and won't entertain offers from other clubs. The personal terms are settled, with just a few details pending, but essentially the agreement is complete," Sebastijan, father of Kerkez, revealed during the Super Indirektno podcast.

ESPN indicated on Sunday that the clubs have reached an agreement valued at approximately €45 million ($51.99m), suggesting that Arne Slot will soon secure another key recruitment target.

The Hungarian defender, aged 21, gained recognition this past season while playing under Andoni Iraola at Bournemouth. Featuring in every league fixture, Kerkez contributed to eight goals (scoring twice and assisting six times) during Bournemouth's most successful Premier League season to date, setting club records for points accumulated, highest finish, most victories, fewest losses, highest goal tally, and lowest goals conceded.

Bournemouth teammate Justin Kluivert has also accepted the inevitable transfer of the Hungarian to Liverpool. "We understand the situation," he acknowledged.

While Kerkez can make an immediate impact, his signing represents a future investment. Andy Robertson might depart this summer, while Kostas Tsimikas remains a rotation option. Following Trent Alexander-Arnold's departure, Kerkez and new acquisition Jeremie Frimpong could represent the next generation of versatile full-backs capable of covering the entire flank and influencing crucial phases of play.

In his inaugural season at Liverpool, Slot didn't drastically alter the team's approach. He implemented modest changes to the inherited squad, with Liverpool's domestic achievements largely stemming from optimizing Jürgen Klopp's personnel given the limited additions last season.
