Garnacho Eyes Dream Exit: Man Utd Star Reveals Top Transfer Destination

Alejandro Garnacho is reportedly keen to stay in the Premier League after Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has informed him to seek a transfer this summer, according to recent reports.

The relationship between Garnacho and the Portuguese tactician has been strained since Amorim took over from Erik ten Hag last November.

The young Argentine winger faced disciplinary action and was excluded from the squad for Amorim's first Manchester Derby. Despite enjoying a consistent run in the starting lineup early in the year, Garnacho was relegated to a minor role as the season concluded.

Frustration grew for Garnacho when Amorim limited him to just 20 minutes of playing time in the Europa League final, and he was subsequently left out entirely for the season-ending victory against Aston Villa. Nevertheless, the winger did participate in the club's postseason tour to the Far East.

Reports suggest Amorim has now told Garnacho he can depart Old Trafford this summer, following previous attempts to move him in January when both Napoli and Chelsea showed interest, though no transfer materialized.

Currently, Bayer Leverkusen, who have appointed Ten Hag as Xabi Alonso's replacement, are showing the strongest interest. However, Fabrizio Romano reports that Garnacho isn't interested in moving to the Bundesliga, preferring to remain in the Premier League.

At present, there appears to be no firm interest from other Premier League clubs. Chelsea, who showed interest previously, are now focusing on acquiring Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund, while links to clubs like Aston Villa and Arsenal remain speculative. However, given his deteriorating relationship with Amorim, Garnacho may eventually need to consider any available offer to secure his exit.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have been actively strengthening their attacking options for the 2025-26 campaign following a historically disappointing season. They've already secured Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers, while Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo is reportedly interested in joining. The club is also thought to be considering a move for striker Viktor Gyökeres.
