Breaking: Man City Seals Tijjani Reijnders Deal, Star Cleared for Club World Cup Action

Manchester City have announced the signing of Tijjani Reijnders from AC Milan, marking the club's fourth acquisition during the initial summer transfer window.

Reijnders had already hinted at the transfer last weekend while serving with the Netherlands national team, showing his enthusiasm to finalize the deal. His excitement remained undiminished during the brief delay before the official announcement.

"I am thrilled to be joining Manchester City," he expressed to the club's official website. "City stands among the world's elite teams, featuring the finest coach, exceptional players, and top-tier facilities. Under Pep Guardiola's leadership, City has claimed numerous titles, and I'm eager to contribute to continuing that success in the years ahead."

City has secured Reijnders with a five-year contract after settling on a £46.5 million ($62.7 million) transfer fee, according to BBC Sport. Following the earlier signings of Rayan Aït-Nouri, Rayan Cherki, and Marcus Bettinelli, the reigning champions have invested over £108 million ($145.7 million) within just 10 days.

Despite making the announcement after Tuesday's transfer deadline, the champions confirmed that Reijnders will be eligible to participate in this summer's Club World Cup.

"Competing in the Premier League is also a lifelong ambition realized," Reijnders stated enthusiastically. "This league has featured many of the greatest Dutch players throughout history, and it's inspiring to follow their legacy.

"I'm eagerly anticipating getting started, meeting my teammates, and demonstrating my abilities to the Manchester City supporters."

City's sporting director Hugo Viana commented: "He comes to us with substantial high-level experience across Europe at both club level and internationally with the Netherlands.

"Tijjani brings additional energy, poise, and creativity to our midfield, and working alongside Pep and our coaching staff will only enhance his development further."
