Arsenal Shake Up Their Squad Against Crystal Palace: Key Injuries and Bold Lineup Predictions Revealed

Arsenal take to the pitch for the first time as confirmed Premier League champions when they wrap up their domestic season with an away fixture at Crystal Palace.

Manchester City's stalemate against Bournemouth handed Arsenal their first Premier League crown since 2003–04 on Tuesday night, and further glory could be on the horizon as the Gunners gear up for next weekend's Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.

Arsenal's showdown with the reigning European champions will weigh heavily on Mikel Arteta's mind ahead of the trip to Selhurst Park, with the Spaniard expected to ring the changes to keep his key players fresh.

Champions League Final Takes Priority

Mikel Arteta applauding.

A largely inconsequential Premier League curtain call gives Arteta the freedom to shuffle his pack in south London, with squad players set to step in for their more prominent counterparts.

The likes of Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice and Gabriel are all expected to be given a breather with the Champions League final in mind, as Arteta draws on the depth of his talented squad.

Fringe players including Max Dowman, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Gabriel Jesus and Christian Nørgaard could be handed rare starting opportunities against a Palace side with their own focus on their European Conference League final against Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday.

On the injury front, Arteta remains without right backs Ben White and Jurriën Timber, with Mikel Merino also sidelined in midfield.

Arsenal Predicted Lineup vs. Crystal Palace (4-2-3-1)

Arsenal predicted lineup

GK: Kepa Arrizabalaga—Kepa played no part in Arsenal's Premier League title-winning campaign, serving as backup to David Raya across all 37 gameweeks. His first outing could come at Selhurst Park.

RB: Cristhian Mosquera—Arsenal's injury problems at right back will be a source of concern for Arteta ahead of the Champions League final against PSG, and in particular the threat posed by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Mosquera is currently their sole option in that position.

CB: Christian Nørgaard—Nørgaard has been deployed twice at center back for Arsenal this season and could fill the role again against Palace as Arteta looks to give both William Saliba and Gabriel a rest.

CB: Piero Hincapié—Hincapié may not be afforded a breather ahead of the PSG encounter, instead tasked with containing the physical threat of strikers Jørgen Strand Larsen and Jean-Philippe Mateta.

LB: Riccardo Calafiori—Calafiori has been a valuable contributor for Arsenal when fit this season and will be eager to come through Sunday's game unscathed ahead of next weekend's trip to Budapest.

CM: Martín Zubimendi—Zubimendi is no longer a certainty to start against PSG following the impressive emergence of Myles Lewis-Skelly. He will be looking to make a strong case to Arteta on Sunday.

CM: Myles Lewis-Skelly—The young midfielder has established himself as a genuine option for Arteta in recent weeks, catching the eye with his contributions during Arsenal's title run-in.

RW: Noni Madueke—Bukayo Saka's return from injury has pushed Madueke back to the bench, though the Englishman heads into Sunday's match with a lift after being named in England's 2026 World Cup squad.

AM: Max Dowman—Dowman is equally effective as an attacking midfielder or winger, and the Premier League's youngest-ever champion will be aiming to add a second Arsenal goal to his name at Palace.

LW: Gabriel Martinelli—Martinelli has endured a frustrating campaign despite Arsenal's title success, managing just a single goal across 29 Premier League appearances.

ST: Gabriel Jesus—Sunday could potentially mark Jesus's final appearance in an Arsenal shirt. The Brazilian, who may leave the club this summer, is not assured of a place in the Champions League final squad.
