It was virtually the ideal gameweek for Arsenal as they chase their first Premier League crown in more than two decades.
The Gunners were convincing 3–0 winners against Fulham on Saturday, not only improving their goal difference but opening up a six-point lead at the top and passing a tricky test. Things improved further by the end of Monday night.
Manchester City's stunning slip-up at Everton—Pep Guardiola's side snatching a stoppage-time equalizer in a 3–3 draw—means the title is now firmly in Arsenal's grasp. Win their final three games and no one can prevent them from ending their long wait for silverware.
City now sit five points adrift of Arsenal with a game in hand and while they're far from eliminated, they need other results to go their way. On top of that, they must win every one of their remaining games to realistically challenge for top spot when the season concludes.
With that in mind, here is a look at the remaining Premier League schedule for the title contenders.
Arsenal, Man City's Remaining Premier League Fixtures

Arsenal | Man City |
|---|---|
West Ham United (A) – May 10 | Brentford (H) – May 9 |
Burnley (H) – May 18 | Crystal Palace (H) – May 13 |
Crystal Palace (A) – May 24 | Bournemouth (A) – May 19 |
- | Aston Villa (H) – May 24 |
For Arsenal, just three opponents stand between them and glory. On paper, Mikel Arteta's squad will be heavy favorites in all of their remaining fixtures, but the Premier League rarely makes things that simple. Surprises can emerge at any moment.
First, Arsenal must make a trip across the city. The Gunners head to relegation-threatened West Ham United at the London Stadium, with the Hammers still desperately battling for survival near the bottom of the table. Nuno Espírito Santo's side have been formidable at home of late and will come out fighting, while Arsenal will also be carrying fatigue from their Champions League semifinal second leg.
Their second-to-last fixture is comfortably their most straightforward. A home encounter with already relegated Burnley could give Arsenal the opportunity to further pad their goal difference as they take on the managerless Clarets. Burnley have claimed just one league victory since early November.
The final test is Crystal Palace. The visit to Selhurst Park could prove grueling if the title is still undecided, with the added stakes making a hostile ground an even tougher proposition. However, there is a real possibility that Oliver Glasner opts to rotate his squad in his last Premier League match as Palace boss, with the Eagles likely to be competing in the Conference League final just three days later.

Arsenal enjoy the comfort of points already banked, while Man City are left chasing. Not only have they lost control of their own fate, they also have an additional game to get through—their rescheduled home clash with Crystal Palace set for May 13.
The Eagles have occasionally been a thorn in City's side in recent seasons, as seen in last year's FA Cup final, but Guardiola's men will still enter as favorites. They will carry that same status into their Etihad meeting with Brentford three days earlier, their first opportunity to bounce back from a disappointing night at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
City take on Chelsea in the FA Cup final after facing Palace and before their Premier League away trip to Bournemouth. There will be just three days separating the visits to Wembley and the Vitality Stadium, the latter having been a tough venue to collect points at this season. The Cherries, still pushing for European qualification, will be highly driven in Andoni Iraola's final home fixture.
City wrap up their campaign at home against Aston Villa—a fixture carrying fond title-winning memories from the final day of the 2021–22 season. Whether they remain in contention by that point is yet to be determined, but Villa could still be battling for a place in next season's Champions League. Unai Emery's side may also have featured in the Europa League final just four days prior.
